Easy to get to location, friendly staff, good selection of makeup. I went there to have my makeup done twice. Both artists were friendly and wonderful. I was happy with my makeup. It seems that they are trained to do more natural makeup so if you want something really bold speak up. It never seems to get too crowded either so I really like going to this one so I don't have to deal with many other people.

MANGER CHRISTINA IS A COMPLETE B**** I've never went into a store and got so harassed before she kept following me. And telling me not to use the brushes very rude staff.. I highly recommend going cross the street to the sephora better stuff bigger selection and people who will help you! And allow you to put on what you want without watching you. Im warning you don't ever go here and ask for help. The manger is a monster.

Staffs' attitude is problematic and unacceptable! When I was checking out, the cashier asked if I was a insider and asked me for my email, when I started to say my email address, she didn't have any patience to listen, so she interrupt me by throwing a blank paper at me without saying anything. First I thought she was just in a bad mood, which was slightly understandable and I was being polite to not to be angry. However, when she deal with other staffs and consumers, her attitude was nice. She threw the receipt at me! I could barely catch it! My friend and I really felt like being discriminated!

If I could give Negative Stars I would! I usually go to my FAVORITE Sephora located on State Street, but this day the State street location didn't have what I wanted. So, I decided to come here and browse around a little. Upon arriving, I wasn't greeted at all but I gave them the benefit of the doubt being that it was so crowded. As I walked around I noticed that there were a lot of employees present, some were with customers and majority of them weren't. While I browsed around NO ONE asked me if I needed help, but I did notice them watching me (go figures). I am a HUGE YouTube junkie and I enjoy picking up a product and listening to the reviews online, so I can stand in an isle for 30 minutes at a time. But this day I felt very uncomfortable. I decided to walk up to an employee that was talking to another employee about some Goddess braids she had in her hair at the time, and ask her opinion on a product. As soon as I said, "excuse me ladies" they then turn their heads towards me (very openly annoyed) and one girl actually rolls her eyes and walks away! Wow! I ask the remaining girl her opinion on the product, and she gave me a very dry response. I walked away, found what I was looking for, and headed to the checkout. I could feel my blood boiling! It is disheartening to have such terrible employees in a beloved establishment. The State Street location and Water Tower location are as different as night and day! The employees at State Street are warm, welcoming, helpful, very knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to our (The Consumers) needs! I have walked around their store for hours at a time and have NEVER felt discriminated against or uncomfortable! They now know my name by heart and even joke about the fact that I should just get a job there. Lol...being that I am a Flight Attendant, I am always on the go so when I touch back down in Chicago, going to Sephora is my "Me" time. It is safe to say that I will NEVER visit the water tower location again and have even spread the word to my coworkers to NEVER go here as well!
