We recently had Zig Zag cater my son's first birthday dinner.  The ordering process was seamless and pickup was easy (we picked up from their Lincoln Park location), and the food was delicious.I would recommend Zig Zag for anyone who wants to plan a get together but not worry about the food.

I don't know how this place doesn't have all 5 star reviews. I decided to check out zig zag for my daughter's baptism / 1st birthday party after walking past this place on my way to and from the train every day for two years. All I have to say is I don't know why we've not called them sooner. It has been a week since the party and people are still asking me where I got the delicious cake.  We ordered the Mediterranean package with chicken, beef and salmon skewers. We only had some chicken left over, the beef and salmon disappeared. We also loved the salad and that cilantro dressing that came with the package. The chicken was grilled perfectly and was super delicious. We ordered the zesty chicken pasta and eggplant pasta. There was absolutely NO zesty chicken left over at the end of the party and it was a full tray (i.e. A LOT of pasta). People raved about the zesty chicken. My husband loved the eggplant too as it had a little bit of heat to the sauce and the mac and cheese was a hit with the adults and kids alike. The grilled veggies were so simple but so delicious and full of things I love: zucchini, mushrooms, spinach. And the cake! Simple white cake with three creamy, silky layers of cream cheese butter cream. We served it with some blueberries and strawberries and it was worth splurging on calories for (and I don't say that about many prepared desserts as I'm more of a "from scratch" person myself). I've already told all of my neighbors about Zig Zag. If you love good quality, well prepared food, this is the place for your next party or family gathering. I cannot wait to order from here again.  Thank you Zig Zag for making my daughter's first birthday even more memorable!
