The Milwood

I would absolutely NOT recommend living at The Milwood and would give this business negative stars if I could. From the beginning, it was clear that management (Pat Gentry, Nick Pinto, and others) does not care about tenants and their experiences. I didnt think much of it until several months into my lease when a leak/flood began in the ceiling of my bedroom. I was awoken at 3am to dirty roof water dripping onto my bed that was dark brown. I immediately took action to fixing the problem by moving all the furniture out of my room and looped management through the emergency number. A worker was sent out to fix the problem but did a poor job because the flooding returned the next time it rained. This time, the worker ripped out my ceiling, leaving the room exposed to the roof with no insulation (see attached pictures) and only covered it with a plastic tarp. My space was left like this for 2 months. I tried to contact management multiple times through email and telephone, and no one would respond to my concern. The problem became so bad that BEES inhabited my apartment since the room was exposed to the outside world for so long (again, it was like this for 2 months). Let me say that again WASPS were living in my apartment because of managements lack of response. Ive attached images to speak to these issues. Its astonishing that they let me live in these living conditions and didnt even offer help. They could have offered a new apartment, a hotel to stay in, or simply fixed the issue in the first place. Undoubtedly this unit now has mold trapped in the ceiling because maintenance refused to actually fix the root of the problem. I have months worth of emails and calls that they have ignored, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. Do not waste your time and money renting from this company. I wish I could go back in time and choose one of the thousands of other better property options in the city. Do better, Milwood management.

The Milwood has a great location and very modern and beautiful apartments. Kelly is particularly helpful - from lease questions to maintenance issues, she is incredibly responsive and kind. I greatly appreciate her!
