If you do not dispute an infestation in my unit, let me out of my lease so I can move on with my life. I am not happy here and I am stuck in this situation I did not create. I have bugs in my bags, coming out of my furniture and in my clothing. I will have to get rid of everything when I leave here. I have pets and I have let pest control in 5 times to treat my unit since they use a poison to treat the unit, I've had to find other accommodations for them. when pest control comes to stay you also have to remove all items from cabinets in your unit which is extremely inconvenient but I have done it to make the situation better. Truth is it has only gotten worse.

I've lived in the building almost 7 years, spanning multiple building managers, and until recently, its been a truly amazing place to live! Im starting to have real concerns, though. Of the building/management: I've really enjoyed each building manager over the years, save for the current one. Emails go unanswered, requests for simple things like fixing all the broken equipment in the fitness center and a proper locking back gate have been stated as complete but are visibly not. The maintenance team are good, and I don't think any request I've made has taken more than 24 hours til completion. The walls & floors are nearly impenetrable noise-wise, and the insulation / windows are great for regulating the hottest and coldest days. It's great to have the party room and plenty of washers/dryers (I've waited maybe 2x over the years). When people visit, almost everyone has comments about how nice the lobby is, and how beautiful the hardwood floors are (it was a quality job, for sure). Security has become a bit of a concern to me, with only one long-term door person who knows the residents. Most of the other door staff barely even look up to acknowledge whos walking in, let alone having anyone sign in (multiple rounds of requests from multiple residents hasnt resulted in a change, despite the switch to this security company being billed as more secure). I've found Horizon to be a fair management company, and they do invest in their properties, but theres been such little communication lately you kind of have to keep a sharp eye out. Of the neighbors: This is still a friendly building, with some long-time residents who get acquainted. That said, in the past year or so, theres been an influx of residents who seem like they can barely be bothered to bathe, let alone help keep the building clean. Its my opinion this likely contributed to a roach issue that lasted June - Oct 2022 (regular spraying was instituted but had never been needed up until then). There dogs & cats throughout the building, too (but you can't hear barking, if it happens, because the walls are thick). The neighborhood in general has a lot of friendly people who get to know others are the local bars & restaurants (which are amazing - specifically Tweet/Big Chicks & Kie Gol Lanee). In a way, there are some small town vibes, even in a dense city.
