City Dough

I had the biscuits and gravy here the last time I went, and the biscuits are two parts biscuit and one part doughnut, divine! I kind of wanted to taste them without the gravy though that was good as well. I do like this place, but there is definitely a long line if you go for brunch which coupled with the lack of waiting area is the only negative.

This restaurant seemed quite clean, crisp, and full of light, during the day. We enjoyed doughnuts on a late afternoon, before the evening rush. Street parking is available but can be tight. The doughnuts were reasonably-priced and of excellent quality! We had an apple fritter, a magnificent Boston Cream pie, and a couple of wonderful cake donuts. We expect and intend to go back to enjoy a full meal, some evening soon.

I was here recently for a private event. They served classic donuts (Boston Creme, old fashion, lemon, etc). I sampled many and they were delicious. And all carb-products are made in house - donut batter, bread, croutons.... They have a decent looking brunch menu. And soon they'll be serving liquor.

Modern take on a diner atmosphere, you can feel that everything is new including the staff but sitting at the counter I overheard the head chief and his attitude is in the right place to make for frequent repeat customers. Steak and egg tacos were great and the potatoes are cut just different enough to make them unique. I will be coming back to see how they have progressed.
