This is a very clean, beautiful KOA! There are many mature trees, sites are well maintained and the pool is clean, clear and refreshing! Very nice playground, as well. Bathroom/showers are all tiled and extremely clean and nice! Its right off the interstate, but youd have to strain your ears to hear road traffic. The birds are plentiful and their songs are lovely. Spaces are small and close together, but the other amenities make up for it, from my perspective.

We stayed here earlier this week on a cross-country trip and can honestly say that the owner and staff were the least professional and least welcoming we have encountered at any KOA (seriously, compare to our other reviews and you will see a dramatic departure of this KOA from the very principals and experience that make KOA what it is. We caution any KOA/VKR members to stay far away and to instead visit the other local campgrounds to avoid this bizarre and totally mismanaged KOA. Safe travels to all, and please reward the many other decent KOA owners!

The check in process was easy. The bathrooms were relatively clean. They had a bug zapper that was extremely loud and went off all night long. We stayed at a tent site. They need to spray for cockroaches, seeing as we had one under our tent and our neighbor had three or four of them. I know bugs are bugs, but I found that a little gross.
