Is this place even open anymore. Every time I pass this place it looks like it's gonna be boarded up soon or demolished.

I HATE to say it, but I'm only giving this place 3 (I'd give it 2.5 if possible) stars. The Riverside (in Riverside, IL) is far superior when it comes to Bohemian food (don't work there, I swear, but it's the only comparable nearby place, except maybe the Golden Duck in Downer's Grove that closed years ago). Table Bread = Not great. Thick and chalky, not like Bohemian rye bread I've had elsewhere. Liver Dumpling Soup = delicious, comparable to Riverside. Two giant dumplings with the broth. Bread Dumplings = delicious, not quite as "sticky" as the ones at Riverside (matter of preference). Breaded Pork Tenderloin = pretty good, although smaller portion than Riverside. Gravy = sucks! It's very thin and translucent compared to the thick, brown gravy at other Bohemian places. Roast Pork = sucks! Dry, dry, dry is all I have to say. Like, *bad* dry. Sauerkraut = delicious, more mild than the Riverside (matter of preference). Kolacky = ok but they only had cheese and raspberry (no apricot? no prune?). Kind of "poofy" for kolacky, too much air in dough. And there is my super-duper nit-picky review! I LOVE Bohemian food (mmm, grandma's Svíčková!), so I notice this stuff...and yes, the decor is awful, but it looks like someone's real grandma's house, so it's highly appropriate. :) That was my meal, total + a coffee was $12 and change, which is a pretty good deal. I just wish the food was better!
