Really great fish fry here! Expect long wait times during Lent!

Took Metras BNSF Line to the restaurant on a Friday, got the fish fry (which is the same price as fish and chips, you get to refill it as much as you want on Fridays) and a green river (also free refills). Amazing authentic atmosphere and outstanding service.

The best part about this location is the service. The bartender and waitresses are all very friendly, and they come check on you several times throughout your meal. The food itself is very OK. We got the grilled cheese with tomato, and it was fine but room temperature. The fries were also under seasoned and needed quite a bit of salt. They have a large selection of drinks, a be prepared as many of them are not available. We had to ask for three different drinks before they had one of them available from their drink menu. Atmospheres is also pretty good. The lighting is a little dim, however, it is great. Come here on Tuesday night at 8 PM if you want to participate in some trivia as well! Vegetarian options: Few options that are vegetarian, but not that interesting or appetizing.
