State Farm Insurance: Corporate Headquarters

Currently realizing how much of a scam this high priced insurance is and will find some other insurance very soon. Yeap...lost another customer!!! Due to way too many issues with this very sad company!!! NEVER HAVE SENT AN ADJUSTER OR ATTEMPTED HELP!! POOR EXCUSE FOR INSURANCE!!!!

Terrible customer service. Close office on good Friday and Monday after and when you call it doesn't say that just transfers you to a claim number and I wasn't calling about a claim. Then I had to call back Tuesday and they acted like I was a bother as they were going to call but hadn't yet as they had so many calls because they didn't say they were closed. Snotty arrogant people!

My brother is 72 years old, disabled, and living at an Assisted Living facility in Lynchburg, VA. As his POA, I handle all of his personal and financial matters. He previously lived in Madison Heights, VA, where he had his State Farm auto insurance with a local agent there. I sold his vehicle last year, and canceled his auto insurance on 10/10/23 because he was no longer able to drive. I was told by his agent that he had a $117.45 refund due from his unused insurance that he had paid. After not receiving his refund check, and many unsuccessful attempts to check the status of his refund check with his agent, he still hasn't received it. Today is 4/10/24, and it's been 6 months since it was canceled. We've both been State Farm customers for over 50 years. They can keep his refund check if they need it that bad! SAD!!!

***-- Horriblly Rated Company --*** ** -- MUST READ BELOW -- ** As of Friday, March 28, 2024, AM Best downgraded the financial strength rating of State Farm General to B (fair) from A (excellent) and the long-term issuer credit rating to bb+ (fair). That means that most mortgage companies no longer accept State Farm as a home insurer. For me personally, they refused to remove one of my children from my auto insurance, who no longer lives at home. Then, to make matters worse, they are about to cancel my insurance because we've: A). Filed claims where our cars have been hit by others, and we bear no responsibility as determined by State Farm. B). Used their auto tow service which is supposed to be a free courtesy to customers; a lure, if you will, to attract people to State Farm. C). Used the company's roadside assistance, which is offered free. Yes, you've read that correctly. Instead of using AAA as I always do, State Farm urged me to use their service. Yet when I did, they used it against me. BEWARE. Even worse, there is absolutely no way to get in touch with anyone at the corporate office. DO NOT GET A POLICY WITH THESE THIEVES. "LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR"... GIVE ME A BREAK.
