I never had any issues going there. My doctor is awesome because he provides ASL interpreter for me on every visit which is a Bonus! He's very easy to talk with and gives awesome tips.

Terrible office with uncaring staff. I highly recommend new patients to stay clear of this establishment, and this is evident by dwindling reviews. Unprofessional front desk staff charged $10 for work inventive documents after being very confused about it, despite this being a standard request. Appointment quality is also down with Drs attention not there. Changing offices now and should have done this sooner.

Dr. James Hitchcock is the best doctor Ive had considering Ive have 3 before him. I feel like he listens and takes his time with you. I wouldnt want any other doctor besides him. Plus the drive for me takes me forever to get there but its so worth it.

This review is referring to the office where this doctor works. Apparently this office doesn't believe that optometrists are capable of treating or diagnosing ocular disease. This office would not give my patient with severe glaucoma a referral to see me because I'm not an ophthalmologist and it inconveniences them even though optometrist have been treating these conditions and getting paid by medical insurance for many years. I'm contracted with essence and have seen literally(100's of patients) with this insurance. This office is run like its still 1980. The worker for Essence has never heard of an office not giving a patient a referral to see the doctor they want to see. This patient is deaf and needed her cousin to take her to an office which was convenient to where she lived. Stop discriminating against what doctor the patient can see and against other doctors. Anti Kickback rules have been a thing for a while now. I reported this incident to Essence and I'm still getting paid w/o a referral(karen)lol. In all seriousness, I would not consider seeing this physician or any physician in this office if you like having a choice over who you can see for your doctor in any specialty. You never know when you will need a referral to see a specialist. This office is only concerned with what is convenient to them. I'm reporting this incident as kickback and I'm hoping this physician and every physician associated with this office and protocol is removed from the Essence Panel. What a sham. Ridiculous

Dr.Hitchcock has been my doctor for few years now. My husband goes to him as well and we both love him.
