Buyer beware, I own at least 15 stcroix and loomis rods unfortunately the one I was looking for has been discontinued. Thought I would try Grandt. Told him what I was looking for. Willing to spend the money on quality rods, but his are way heavier and flimsy. Called and tried to get an upgrade from this $500 ugly stick and was told nope. Not a good way to do business. Will make a nice bank pole I guess.

I purchased my first Grandt rod several years ago and have bought many more since then for everything from bass to musky to fluke to tile fish. They are clearly the best rods out there and the warranty is truly unconditional. These rods catch fish and stand up to a lot of wear and tear. They are extremely well made and I have never broken one but my fishing buddy who purchased a high end Grandt rod accidentally broke his (his fault, it was an accident) . When he called to explain the situation, Jim Grandt had him send back the broken one which he gladly replaced for a small return shipping fee (much less than other manufacturers would have charged). My friend received the new rod quickly and couldn't be happier. Grandt customer service is outstanding and we are customers for life. Thanks Again...

I have been using Grandt Rods for about 15 years. There is no one on the Market today who will give you a Warranty like Grandt does . There customer service is the best. I have broken a few rods and paid the small fee to get my NEW rod back . We are not talking about a defect in the Rod I Step on one and the other was broken in a rod locker. So i received a NEW rod by FedX in a couple of days of breaking it. There is no one out there who does that. $34.00 for a NEW rod is a Great Deal for a USA made product. I have seen Jim Grandt with customers in the booth during shows. Jim is always there to help get the right fishing rod in the customers hand and at the end even if the cutomer does not buy and rod there with a hand shake at the end Class Act. What owner of a company does that any more. The Grandt company have been around for 33 years and has been taking care of thousands of customers . .

I have had a business relationship with Jim Grandt since 2005. Jim has taught me about his products, been patient with me when I have questions, and supported me when necessary. Through the years we have developed a great friendship. When I hear someone disparage Jim I am concerned. From the information I have seen, the rod in question appears to have been broken by force. Yet Jim Grandt said he would repair or replace the rod if the customer follows his standard warranty claim policy. This was not good enough for Mr. T.R. Mr. R apparently did not get his way and instead verbally attacks Jim Grandt. In my years selling and servicing clients, Grandt Industries products and warranty policy are the best! Not one of my customers has ever complained about the warranty nor the shipping, handling and insurance fee associated with it. Whether a rod was repaired or replaced, in the end they received the best fishing rod in the market designed and built by Grandt Industries.
