*** Please read this before making an appointment at this office! ***
I don't normally write bad reviews but I feel that this really needs to be put out there. I was a patient here for nine years. I had my regular six month cleaning scheduled but I woke up that morning with the flu and so I called the office before they opened and let them know that I wouldn't be able to make it. In that message I asked that they please call me back so I can reschedule and I left my phone number. I never heard back. However, they called my family member at a different phone number to inform them that I missed my appointment. I called again during business hours to try and reschedule, but they did not answer the phone so I left another voicemail. Again, I left my phone number on the voicemail and told them I was trying to schedule an appointment. I was never able to get a hold of them so I ended up going to a different dentist. This dentist was very thorough and professional, and it made me realize how unprofessional Dr. Mcnamara's office really is. My new dentist found something VERY IMPORTANT that Dr. Nick failed to find for years. This dental office still uses film to do X-Rays and the quality of the X-Rays they took of my mouth was definitely not up to code. The X-Rays were so unreadable that Dr. Nick told me my teeth were in perfect health when really I had SIX (very serious) cavities from back when I had braces. The last TWO YEARS I complained many times to Dr. Nick that my teeth were in excruciating pain and he always told me that I just had sensitive teeth and to use Sensodine. My last visit he didn't even look at all of my teeth. He had me smile and said "When have you ever had a problem? You're good to go." And he left the room... I obviously was not good to go.
When I went into the office to politely discuss my feelings about the whole situation the "office manager" Katie was extremely rude and kept talking to me like I was stupid. She was very unprofessional and it was very obvious she did not care one bit about the customers that come into the office.
Now I have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for these fillings because he didn't do his job and catch them when they were small and would have been less expensive to fix.

Everyone who works in this office are so nice and professional. They take their time and explain all options. Dr Mc Namara is absolutely an artistat at his craft. I would highly reccomerd Mc Namara Dental in Rathdrum.

This is the very best dentist office ever in my opinion, and I've seen some of the very best. From the front desk to the procedure room, dollar for dollar, these people can't be beat.
I shouldn't say this here since I travel 7 hours one way to come see them and I'm encouraging overbooking, but I have to share. They are friendly and warm, knowledgeable and efficient, and there's no hard sale for services, no push push to make a buck, just "here's what's going on, and my recommendations, now it's up to you to make a choice."
The hygienist even found an issue I'd been battling for years, which Dr. Nick fixed up for me straight away. Other hygienists, dentists, and endodontists had never been able to find that problem.
I LOVE this dentistry for my entire family!!
