Kay Jewelers

I won't be shopping at Kay again. The staff was friendly when I bought the ring. They added on the protection plan automatically. I didn't really look at the price. But I thought the warranty would be a good idea. When I got home, I looked at the receipt. It was $75! My ring wasn't very expensive. A little while later, I needed my ring sized. They were totally unfriendly. There were three salespeople, no customers except for me. They acted like they were busy. I accidentally forgot my receipt at home. They couldn't find record of the sell. They made me feel like I hadn't even bought my ring there. They finally took it and said I needed to bring the receipt in. When I got home I found the receipt. It clearly had my name and address on it. I didn't want to go back in, so I called. She wasn't friendly then either. When I went to pick up the ring, again, the people that helped me weren't nice. An employee that didn't help me, smiled when I came in and when I left. Wish she could've helped me.

On June 12th, 2021 I bought a Tungsten ring for my boyfriend. A month later, he surprised me with matching rings, so I went to Kay's to return the one I had bought. When I got there the ladies were short with me and told me I could only return items within 30 days. Their policy on their counter explicitly states that items may be returned or exchanged within 60 days. I didn't have a receipt with me as the ring had been wrapped as a gift. The ladies pulled up a receipt using my last name, and had me exchange the ring. They only credited me $179, so I looked back in my bank account and saw that on June 12th Kay's had done a POS withdrawal of $215.78. I wanted my money back and was refused, and then I wasn't credited back my full amount. Needless to say I will not be going back.
