Jon was super nice when I spoke with him and my husband was pretty confident in his ability to do what we are looking for. When I asked him questions, he was able to explain to me in a way I could actually understand, which was super helpful.

If I could give this a negative star I would. Barker does not communicate, doesn’t return phone calls, doesn’t text back. The job is still not 100% done. All that is left is re-sanding the pavers and sealing them. He told us it could not be done till six months after the install was finished. It is now almost a year later. When we met with Barker we went over all of our ideas for the backyard and what we wanted. He presented a image of what it would look like and the price and we approved it. Then we were told we needed a retaining wall because the dirt would be too high next to our pool. That added a huge cost that should have been known from the beginning based on his expertise. The work started and stopped several times, with work not happening for weeks and months at a time. The electrician never ran the wire to our gazebo. Barker was not able to get anyone there to do it. We ended up having to get that done ourselves with our own electrician at significant cost, and even though Barker gave us a little bit of a discount because of that, it did not justify what we paid to get it done on time. The biggest problem is a lack of communication. Which we directly discussed with him many times. We understand life happens. We understand that the weather happens. When there is no communication and good weather and things do not get done there is a problem. Now we will be having to hire somebody else to come back and re-sand the pavers and apply the finish seal. This is very disappointing.
