Checked in yard about used Colvert that was in stock. Inquired for price the lady in charged who claimed to be the owner could not come up with a price and had to check with her son later on in the morning . Was suppose to ca!! Never did. I called five days later said she talked to her son and could not give me the price. I'm sorry but stupid people should not be working a jobs dealing with the public. I would never recommend buy anything there until they get rid of her. Just don't waste you time...

A couple years ago I had received a bid from them for the excavation of my new homesite, including a rather long driveway. Their bid was more than double multiple competitors. I opted not to use them.
In early May of 2021 I hired another excavator to put in a short access road. He ran into some solid bedrock and was unable to do anything with it. He advised I contact someone with a hydraulic hammer. I called Cook & Sons and that same day they sent out an excavator with a hydraulic hammer. Their operator stated that the access road was of such poor quality and steep that it wasn’t worth his time or my money to mess with it. He advised a completely different road. I paid Cook & Sons about $650 that day just to have the equipment on site, even though it was already loaded at their yard and never unloaded when they got here. Regardless! Upon speaking with their staff she said they were busy with the summer, but they could get to it in the fall. She also stated they would send someone out to give me an estimate before then. No one ever came or called to do an estimate. I was just informed today, June 21st, they won’t be able to do it in the fall either. It seems they just took on a few other jobs and decided I wasn’t worth their time. The new jobs pushed me out. That's really unprofessional! It sure would have been nice if they told me that before all the other contractors were booked up. Such unprofessionalism it’s sad. Don’t say things if you cannot keep your word! I had spoken with her just a week ago and she said nothing about too busy in the fall. Sad, just sad!
