During my 4 years working as a caregiver at Home Instead I witnessed the constant efforts of the staff to make good matches between the clients and caregivers. They really do care for providing the best quality of life possible for their clients. I was proud to represent Home instead.

These people care for my grandma. Half the time when I go over there, theyre just watching TV or sitting on their phone.

They have canceled twice. No one has been sent to care for Mom. Last time I found out the day before. Today no one showed up. They did not call. I called them. The person on the phone did not see that anyone was scheduled, but I was told they had scheduled someone. I asked for the manager. I wanted to talk to that person before posting this review. The manager did not call back. They sent out a salesperson to assess our needs. They have our financial information. They led me to believe that had caregivers available. Now I am worried about a doctor's appointment on Monday. If you hire them, there is no guarantee they will send a caregiver for your loved one. This is an unreliable business.
Update: The owner did contact me later. She was very gracious. The problem was a staffing shortage. As you can read in the other reviews, they do their best to accommodate their employees' scheduling needs. Unfortunately the hours I needed them were not desirable. I understand. I also understand that housing prices for rent have gotten unsustainable in this area making staffing a huge challenge. We did use their intermittent services for a short time. I was pleased with the staff they sent. My family's need for care was short-term. I am thankful for our circumstances overall, though it was a very stressful at the time of my original writing of this reveiw. I pray for the families who need care in this area, and for the business owner for Home Instead in Coeur d Alene.
