I must express my disappointment with the entire experience we had with our recent large order for two families. From the onset, we encountered significant challenges. Despite placing our order online through the website, which might be inadvertently linked to DoorDash, our payment was processed, yet the order failed to reach the restaurant. Subsequently, when we called to place the order again, we encountered an employee who not only lacked basic courtesy but also displayed unnecessary condescension and unprofessionalism. Furthermore, we were unpleasantly surprised to find that an 18% gratuity had been automatically added due to the order exceeding $100, despite it being take-out. As if these issues weren't enough, the quality of the food was severely lacking, with our satay chicken being served completely raw. Regrettably, I must advise others to steer clear of this establishment. Additionally, I strongly suggest that the employee responsible for answering phones at 6:30pm on 4/5/24 undergoes some much-needed customer service training.

Been going to Chiang Mai for years. It is far and away my favorite Thai restaurant in Boise. The interior (particularly the restrooms) could use an update, and the service can occasionally be on the slower side depending on their busyness/staffing. They do get quite busy. These criticisms are in no way unique to Chiang Mai, and I assert that the quality of the food and the people more than makes up for any areas in which they may be lacking. As an added bonus, I believe they are the only one in the area to offer a family-style dinner option.

Service can be a little hit or miss but the food is consistently delicious. I recommend all the curries, the noodles and salads and Mango sticky rice if they ever have it.

We love this place. The food is always great and its a good amount of food for the price. Great for dinner plus leftovers for lunch the next day. A word of caution for ordering....they NO LONGER TAKE ONLINE ORDERS so please do not order through the "Order Online" option on Google. Chiang Mai will not receive it and you will have to contest it through your bank.
