        Had the carne asada fajitas. Worst carne asada I ever had. Tough, chewy, gristly and fatty. I ended up spitting most of it back out into the skillet. $30 is a lot of money to pay for bad carne asada.

        I don't know what happened but this location was the first time I've never sat at a bar only to be ignored by a the bartender while people who sat next to me were immediately attended. I was lucky that one of the bar tenders eventually got to me but I was clearly not her side of the bar. I left her a tip but I worry that it may not have gone to her as the male bartender who ignored me thanked me for the tip.

        This is another restaurant I would like to enjoy but have never been able to. First of all, Im never a fan of a chain. Regardless, every time Ive ever had anything here it has always disappointed in its mediocrity. There is a lot of Mexican in the Treasure Valley. Matador does not improve on the relatively high level of local Mexican cuisine yet, it throws on a price tag that nearly certainly convinces unaware patrons to taste with their eyes and pocketbook. The atmosphere is fun, but the food and price point it pretentious and mediocre.

      Hi Clay, thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience. We are dissapointed that we have missed the mark on what sounds to be multiple times now. We always encourage our guests to bring unsatisfactory food or service to our attention during the visit so we can either prepare it again or find an item that might be more enjoyable.
