My grandfather has been with Nationwide for over 30 years. A pipe broke under our kitchen sink, we were unable to use the sink, the disposal, and the dishwasher. Our policy states, that if the pipe breaks, the insurance will cover it. If it is a leak it is not covered. The adjuster said on the recorded line that it was a break and to start the work, that it would be covered. Half way through the work, the adjuster, who is based out of Utah, who has never seen the pipe, said that it would not be covered by the insurance because it was a leak. The plumber, and the cleaning company both told the adjuster that it was in fact a break. The adjuster than told my 81 year old grandfather that he should have reported it soon, or even go under the house himself to check it out! This is absurd! Do not have a policy with Nationwide or all you will get is a fight that should not have been a fight. This is my personal experience.
