Blackfoot Hardwood Floors

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Blackfoot Hardwood Floors installed our oak kitchen floors about 20 years ago when we built this home. They did a fine job, and we had them refinish and reseal them 11 years ago with only one minor problem. We then contacted them to refinish and reseal the floor 1 1/2 years ago. What a mistake! As you can see from the attached pictures, the two men that came to do this did a horrible job! The color does not match the original floor. Now anytime someone walks across the floor, it doesn't matter what kind of shoes they are wearing, they leave marks on the floor. This never happened before they were "refinished". As you can also see from the pictures, the workers cut a groove on all of my cabinets and trim boards. We have contacted the owner Dan Fawcett numerous times to come out and see the poor workmanship and damage that his workers did, but he doesn't return calls or will call to say he is coming through the area right now and can stop, never when we are home. I hate to involve our lawyer, but this looks like the only way this issue will be resolved. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

We have a brand new $800,000 home and the most disgraceful looking floor. I have had four floor installers look at it as Dan claimed it was faulty product. All of them said it was due to poor workmanship and poor installation, not the product. Three from SLC and one local. We've lived in our house for a year and there has been no attempt to rectify this very bad job. I was forewarned to not use Dan, however a good friend told me he would do a good job and I was doing him and Dan a courtesy in hiring him. He came to me with his hand out asking to be paid prior to inspection. Being the softie that I am I had my contractor pay him in full thinking he was a friend and would not leave me in a lurch..the other mistake made. I have asked him to make this right, but he continues to make excuses as to why it wasn't done properly and refuses to correct this colossal 5,200 square feet mistake. Perhaps if he had been on the job rather than his grandson and his flunky it might have gone better. With multiple people witnessing this poor installation I can only blame Dan. If it were possible to leave a minus 50 stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! All he would need to do as a decent human being and a proper and good business owner is to admit the mistake (all you have to do is look at the entire floor) and make things right. After 12 months of trying to get something resolved I don't see this happening. Sadly. Service: Engineered wood
