All Phase Masonry

***BUYER BEWARE***

We recently had a rock wall built on the front of our property in Wahiawa by Sione and his crew at All Phase Masonry. Sione seems very nice and knowledgeable, but the process was painful from start to finish. The rocks were delivered and dumped in an enormous pile (rocks, rebar, metal chunks, etc.) in the front yard for over a week before construction started, our water main was busted by the workmen who failed to locate it before starting work, our driveway and edge curbing frame thing were stained, gouged, and chipped with promises of repair that haven't been followed through on, our yard was left in a huge rocky/dirty mess with concrete patches that had to be dug out by us, our vinyl side fence was splashed with concrete, the concrete slab for the gate motor was put in the wrong spot which delayed the installation of the gate itself, and last and WORST of all we have been left with an expensive permitting disaster to deal with.

This permitting aspect is still ongoing with Sione originally having told my husband (after my husband specifically asked about the process) that we didn't need to worry about a permit (we just moved to the island 2 months ago). Soon after "completion" of the wall we received a violation notice from the city saying we needed to submit a permit or tear down the wall. Sione wouldn't help with the process and instead gave us the name of another person we would have to pay to help us complete the application and submit it. After paying about 18k for a wall we are paying another 2.5k to submit a permit application that should have been completed by the contractor, Sione.

Also of note, he was unable to cash a check written to "All Phase Masonry" which makes me wonder if he even has a business or contractor's license.

We should have done our own due diligence, but trusted in human kindness and other reviews on here and on google. I regret that. Maybe this review can save some people the headaches we have had to deal with.

The wall itself is very nice, but I sure wish we had gone with someone else and then maybe we could actually enjoy it instead of it just being a source of stress.
