I graduated form the Pacific Center of Awareness and Body work and was able to get a job at a massage clinic right after. I knew that the school taught me something truly special when I saw how most therapists interact with their patients. This school teaches how to listen and be there for another human in a way that is so simple but has been left out by most schools. So much of what the school taught me has had a profound impact on my personal life and therefore my professional. I highly recommend this course.

Hands-down one of the most cherished experiences of my life was completing the 6-month awareness and bodywork program at PCAB in 2018. The course was diverse, integrating various modalities and teaching styles, and unlike any other massage school PCAB offered comprehensive techniques toward deepening healing into the emotional body, with the additions of trauma education, meditation exercises and neuroscience-based approaches to bodywork. Most importantly, I felt supported and accepted throughout this training by all of the staff and fellow students making my personal growth, healing and learning processes unfold with ease in a safe, nurturing container and environment. I was fascinated by the new advances in pain science that the curriculum had adopted in order for our class to stay up-to-date with the new technologies/scientific knowledge relating directly to this line of therapy. I was able to get clients immediately after graduation and feel confident taking the MBLEX exam. And of course, surfing warm Kauai waters after class to decompress after massage trades was the cherry on top!

I graduated class of 2018 and loved this program! My ultimate goal was to be able to offer a good massage and make a living at it. PCAB gave me this and so much more! I learned a tremendous amount about myself, human nature, the mind, the body, presence, awareness, how to listen, how to touch, and how to truly be there for another person. We spent a lot of time exploring awareness activities that touched the heart of inner being. We learned the language of communication, both verbal and nonverbal. One of the dearest aspects of this program is the opportunity to connect with a group of people so deeply and intimately for an extended period of time. I miss my class. As time passed and people opened up and shared, I was able to witness the beauty of life as it expressed itself through emotion and life experience, all of which helped me in preparation for working with real-life clients. This program is extraordinary. I love being a massage therapist. I love working with people and sharing love through touch and presence. PCAB exquisitely prepared me for this path.

Attending this school was the best thing I ever did for myself. And for the world. If you are looking for transformation, this is the place. It's not easy, but the best things aren't. I graduated not just knowing myself better, but knowing MORE of myself better. My life after PCAB has been more peaceful, easeful, confident, fun, loving, aware, and purposeful. The teachers are wonderful, fellow students become family, and you learn SO MUCH. Not just anatomy and massage strokes, but how to hold loving space for another human being and all that comes with it. Through learning about yourself, you learn how to be a massage THERAPIST. Somebody told me once that if I was gonna go to massage school, I might as well go somewhere beautiful. I'm glad I listened to them and found PCAB. The island is beautiful, and so is this school. Thank you Mark Olson for continuing this legendary teaching!
