We bought a new unit at the Central Ala Moana and after a year living here, one of our AC units started leaking water from the bottom middle portion. We hired an AC tech from another company to take a look. Turns out the insulation around the pipes were taped to the pipe every 6 inches or so when they are supposed to be glued to the pipes to remove air pockets which leads to building of condensation and eventually pools water between the pipe and the insulation. Now I got yellow stains on my walls. If you cannot get the job right, dont do the job!!!

Wow, just wow... Talk about NO service and a complete "cash snatch and grab" I had 3 split units installed by Dorvin.  My living room unit drain pan has a stress fracture from improper install and is leaking.First, I call the number listed for Oahu and tell them my situation.  I'm asked "What island you on", I say Oahu and then "click" off to a new line... terrific start! Then another "service rep". I tell them my situation again and am told, we don't do residential anymore.  Call another company.  I paid you guys A LOT of $$$ and when there is an issue, you just tell me call a different company?  I asked, these units all have warranty.  Can you look into it for a part at least.  The response "you have to call yourself, we don't do that" So the service I paid my hard earned money for was essentially: Shoddy work, RUDE service reps, NO warranty help and NO aloha whatsoever.They don't do residential, NO wonder... probably too many complaints!  So STAY AWAY isn't as pertinent.But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how many certificates and accreditations a company has, a Hawaii company that just doesn't care about a "small" job or it's customers is a 1 star company as best.

The entire AC system at our unit this company installed at the Central Ala Moana project was down within a few months after we moved in November 2021. Half way through the 1 year warranty period, May 2022, their repair service came refill the freon and re-taped piping. A few months later Oct 2022 the system stop blowing cold again due to freon leak however the warranty expired in Sept. It seems like they did what was needed just to get pass the expiration period. The slow leak from installation continued and was never addressed completely. They are not willing to provide further service and only told us to refer to system maintenance documentation. If you are making a new home purchase, make sure to check all the contractors involved. Services: Installation, Repair HVAC
