Miss Debbie and her staff are wonderful. They are incredibly patient and encouraging to my preschool aged daughter. Shes learned so much since starting back in May. Id highly recommend Kumon Manoa.

Debbie and the staff at the manoa location are wonderful! They are very patient with our son and are very attentive. Debbie has a ton of experience. She is no nonsense but very kind. There are a bunch of kids going in and out, but they seem to know each one very personally. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone!

Thank you Kumon Manoa for being an incredible partner in our son's education. We have been with Kumon Manoa for almost 8 years, and are grateful and appreciative they were there, especially during the Covid pandemic when we needed and sought learning opportunities that would keep our son engaged and challenged. The staff is extremely patient, understanding and flexible to our family's needs, and being centrally located on Oahu and its multiple opportunities for in-person lessons, Kumon Manoa is very convenient and accommodating with our busy schedules. As much as we appreciate our son's regular school/teachers, we are thankful to have Kumon as one of our son's educational partners - helping us instill in him the value of lifelong learning, hard work/persistence, and discipline. As our son will graduate and move on from a public elementary school to a private middle/high school, we know Manoa Kumon definitely had a role in his success!

I cannot say enough great things about the Manoa Kumon Center, as well as Ms. Debbie and her experienced staff! My parents signed me up for Kumon when I was in third grade, and I fully credit Ms. Debbie and Kumon with helping me to develop a strong base / mastery of computation that proved invaluable to both my academic and professional career. It has been such a pleasant experience to see life come full circle -- when my wife and I signed up our daughter for Kumon, Ms. Debbie instantly recognized both of us and has taken the greatest care in instructing our daughter. During the COVID-Pandemic / Shutdown, my wife focused on homeschooling our daughter, with Kumon being a key element of that curriculum (and in my opinion, was a superior academic substitute to preschool in general). Ms. Debbie adopted virtualization of Kumon over Zoom immediately following shutdown -- which was such a welcome surprise to us. I had several friends send their kids over to the Manoa Center from the Kaimuki one (apparently the owner there is not open-minded or adoptive of technology) -- that's another point -- no two Kumon Centers are the same. Nonetheless, when it came time to test our daughter for private school -- her math and reading skills far outpaced those of her peers. Suffice to say, she had her pick of schools to attend, which we would credit to Ms. Debbie and the Manoa Kumon Center. I would compare Kumon to a strength and conditioning for a child's academic skills (computation and reading comprehension) -- it is both rep driven and measured -- there is a science to the method: building a strong base, then honing critical skills and mastery. Standard schooling alone, much like casual exercise, will never lead to excellence. Kumon, on the other hand will. Ms. Debbie, in my opinion, is the most experienced in her field, and understands how to coax the best out of each child. Recently, Ms. Debbie also rolled out Kumon Connect -- which is basically an all-digital platform for Kumon -- using tablets and styluses instead of the traditional paper worksheets. This has simplified life for our family significantly and has allowed our daughter to have meaningful interactions with technology. I would venture to say that Kumon continues to push the envelope with technology beyond what our State's leading private schools are able to do. Kumon is a different product / platform than traditional schooling -- it can be both remedial / supplementary (allowing students who may have fallen behind to catch up), as well as targeted / performance driven (allowing those who want to, to stay ahead of the pack, in terms of academic mastery / achievement). Capping it off, Kumon truly is like Strength and Conditioning -- for academics / the mind. Ms. Debbie is the best instructor / trainer out there -- she has both experience, as well as the flexibility to adopt new methods / technologies and continue to innovate.
