I attended and graduated from Heald College Honolulu in 2004. Its good that they pushed the issue of Business and Professionalism. However, I feel that their recruitment tactics are very misleading. I wish I chose another path of College Education. Because, In the long run it was a waste of my time and money. The credits you make their are pretty much worth nothing. I will not recommend this college to anyone. Go there if you want a useless degree and a ridiculous student loan that will negatively affect your credit In the future.

(Know that this is a profit school and that Heald is able to get where you want to be as long as you are willing to put in the effort) I’m a 4th quarter Electronics major at Heald College. I would just like to say that the technology program is awesome! Heald has challenged my learning abilities and given me a great life experience. I look forward to every quarter. Often times I look back and feel proud of how much I’ve learned in such a short time. I never realized how exciting it could be to apply mathematic theory to electronic circuits. I’ve enjoyed making presentations in the English courses as well as listening to my peer’s presentations that talk about their majors. It just shows you how motivated students are to get their voice heard. Although you do pay a great deal more for your education here, but that’s why you must understand that they offer more, like time and ethics that will be used in your career. The staff and instructor’s attitude about your future are much more profound than that of other colleges. There are instructors that not only come in on their time off to have open study hall but also participate in school events. If you plan on coming here to learn, understand that the students that graduate are serious about each class and are motivated to commit to the effort it takes for them to obtain their future career in such a short time. The students support a variety of honor societies that will help you when you enter the career field. We are here to get in, get out, and get ahead. Its has been two years sense i wrote ^that and iv come to read and add to what i posted. I'm back to tell you where I stand today. I been hearing some things about an investigation on Heald College and that they have been put up for sale, also that they lost federal funding. Although this is disappointing to me my overall experience has been good, but the amount of money I have to pay back now gets to me from time to time. If i knew i was good at school I would have just went to community college.. But where I am today is still good, I just found the company i want to work for and they treat me very well and there are other Heald Graduates here too.. I was able to pick and choose the career path i wanted for my future and i even had the opportunity to be an Elevator Apprentice Mechanic those people can make up to six figures a year if they become a journeymen in the elevator unions, Personally I choose a different path and left that career for a more appealing one, I will be back again one day to recap my experience if this forum is still here. Thank you all for reading my experience and I hope I was able to help you for your choice in your future.

This place sucks, never give them your information, they will never stop calling you. I have left Hawaii and let them know of it, and they still did not stop. Horrible place, I will make sure to let everyone know not to go here.
