Sombat's Fresh Thai Cuisine

Sombat's offers authentic, delicious Thai food. The food was extremely fresh and flavorable, and the portions were very generous. Our waiter was the best and made our experience even better. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Sombat's.

Ordered takeout. Pad Thai was good and had a nice kick (ordered medium spice). Coconut curry was too sweet/tangy for my liking. Spring rolls are skippable as they were only good because of the sauce that came with it.

After a long day exploring Volcanoes Natl Park, we were hungry and looking for a delicious and filling meal. Sombats did not disappoint! I was bummed to see that they only offered takeout, but I was too tired to keep searching for somewhere else to eat, plus places were starting to close. We gladly ordered takeout and took it back to our hotel. My husband ordered the pad see ew and I ordered the pineapple curry, and we shared the papaya salad. Oh my goodness, was the food ever delicious!! The portions were extremely large - it was the largest papaya salad Ive ever seen and my husband and I both enjoyed eating as much as we wanted, whereas typically we divide it equally and enjoy a sampling at other restaurants. The pineapple curry had such great, rich flavor and I ate to my hearts content and still have leftovers for another meal. My husband likewise enjoy his noodles and has leftovers. There are plenty of options for Thai food on the island, but I can promise this wont disappoint and will be an excellent choice if you opt to eat here!
