The owner of the business, James Frix, seems to be in the towing business. Please do NOT use his business. He was on the state patrol' s towing rotation list and he charged us a $730 tow fee for 23 miles, a $150 lot fee, and a $105 storage fee for less than 48 hours. This is completely unacceptable. When his young son arrived, he picked the truck up out of the road and we instructed him where to tow the truck. He said it is not in their policy to take OUR property where WE want it to go. I told him our shop was open and ready to pay him immediately but still no. So we asked him to drop the truck and we would pay him for the time, again told no. My husband needed to go to the hospital to care for his fractured hand. So, I gave up and let him take the truck but asked that he lowered the truck so we could get our stuff out. Nope, he still wouldn't! He made my injured husband climb up the truck and dig out my 2yr son's bookbag, work tools, and other personal belongings. After it was all said and done, he gave my body shop an awful time picking up the truck. He only allowed 2 hours out of the day to pickup and tried to charge a 10% markup to use a card because he didn't want the tow trucks check. I get this is a small business but it is not okay to take advantage of people. We have called the BBB and the state patrol to have this company removed from the rotation. Please call your own tow to avoid a unexpected $1000 tow fee and SUPER unfriendly service. So sad. All I wanted was a friendly experience in a rough moment, instead I was more angry and upset that this man was out for as money as he could make. I will continue to make sure this business does not take advantage of anyone else.
