Prestige installed new shingles on my home soon after a hailstorm damaged several homes in Bibb and Houston County. They contracted to remove all shingles, felt paper, replace or repair any/all existing damage to my roof, and to replace with new felt paper, shingles, etc. When they removed old shingles they threw them down on the ground, some of them hitting the side of my stucco home, leaving visible marks and scratches. They were "through" by the time i got home from work that day. The next day, two of the roofers returned to my house, saying that they had quit doing work for Prestige, complaining that they (Prestige) take too many shortcuts, cheating the customer out of what they had contracted for. The roofers told me that they were instructed to leave most of the old shingles on the house; just to remove the old ones around the roof line. They also used the shorter roofing nails that were designed to go through one layer of shingles; not through multiple layers. Over a year later, I am still getting pieces of shingle on my patio and many, many nails that have popped out of the shingles because they were too short to hold the shingles down. A call to "Matthew" (the owner?) resulted in no satisfaction. I would NEVER use Prestige Roofing again, nor would i recommend anyone else use their shoddy services and work practices.
