Update: Since the end of last year, the CVS pharmacist refuses to fill my monthly schedule 2 prescription so I no longer utilize CVS for anything. While it is legal for pharmacists to refuse to fill prescriptions that they feel may be used for abuse, it's an unethical practice hurting valid prescription holders like me as it opens the door for biased perceptions and stereotypes and delays us receiving our much needed medications.
I live less than two miles from this CVS and can not believe the level of inexperience and unprofessionalism each time I attempt to pick up my prescription. While I have Kaiser insurance, which CVS does not accept, I choose to get my prescriptions from CVS because of convenience of location and because the corporate office assured me that they accept Good RX. I am registered online with the CVS health app and receive notifications for prescription pickup. Today, Saturday, June 04, 2022 I go to pick up my prescription that was sent May 31,2022. At first I'm told that there is no prescription here in my name. However, after I pull up the email from my doctor and the CVS app showing my name, prescription and date, I'm informed that the pharmacist will need to confirm if they have the medicine on hand. Then, I'm told he can fill it in about 25 minutes. Then the pharmacy cashier comes and tells me that the pharmacy does not accept Kaiser insurance but the pharmacist can give me a discount. I then explained that I know that they don't accept Kaiser and that my same prescription was filled here last month and to use Good Rx so that I can receive the same or similiar pricing. Why is this soo hard and why am I notified that my prescription is ready via text and phone call but it's never ready when I Uber to the pharmacy? Is anyone taking into consideration customers hardships and mobility issues? I'm trying to show grace and be understanding but there are several things wanting here.
