I would give it zero stars if I could. I don't know who's in charge of the association, but they are not putting any of the money into the neighborhood. These are the worst roads on the island, and probably as old as the neighborhood itself if not older. They are damaged and have so many potholes you almost need off-road tires just to drive on them.

It’s commonly understood that I live in a rental home. My owner, has let the home tun down visibly with paint peeling, rotten a yard on move in that had more weeds than grass in 2 sections. My neighbors have seen me tirelessly work at using weed and feed, weed killer, and also tilling and replanting grass, to improve my rental. My only requirements are to mow, hedge and edge. My realtor in many cases doesn’t respond after repeated requests for basic repairs. I had a gate, with rusty screws coming out, sitting outside against the fence-I had to pick it up ultimately when the last hinge broke taking out garbage. It was too heavy for me to move, so I rested it against the fence. So I 1st reported to the realtor that the gate was about to break and needed to be looked at August 22. When 2 hinges came off, I wrote to please repair and reminded the realtor we lived in an HOA. On August 31st, I was told the repairman was at my home. I didn’t see him and nothing changed. It was hazardous with those rusty screws and unsightly. I thought perhaps the handyman was building one at home to bring back. Still I was mystified that he or she left the gate like that. A member of Brockington in a white SUV, late 60’s with her husband pulled into my driveway, on my property, September 10, and seeing my minor sons looking directly at her, started screaming “ what kind of person are you? You have no morals. You are th ruin of the neighborhood. The entire neighborhood talks about you non stop. Oh my God, your from Wisconsin “. I never lost my temper. I showed the resident terror lady on my phone I had asked for the gate repair. She screamed for about 10 minutes looking at young men staring at her with fear. Finally her husband, way to long into her rant said “ this is an HOA issue. We called the police. The neighbors knew her but refused to identify her. We wanted it clear that our rented property was no place to yell at a renter and her 2 sons. We also planned on filing a restraining order if she continued to make us fearful on our property. The HOA knows who she is as certainly she filed a complaint. I don’t understand that I was not allowed to know her name when we at that moment knew we weren’t safe in Brockington. I wrote my realtor about the scary lady and miraculously a handyman came to repair the gate. The rental agency was not so nice. They told me there is a wait list for handymen and gate repair was low on the list. I’m sure if a person is paid a fair amount, Brunswick must have available handymen. Next the violent crazy lady screamed my grass was brown. I did go and apologize to my neighbors about my grass. One neighbor told me we had cinch bugs. The spray man came out and I spoke to him. The previous owner, had treated the yard for the 2 previous summers but my new homeowner was too cheap. I received via my attorney the spray mans written recommendation which included spraying 4 months in a row for cinch bug each season and spraying most months for other grass pest. Now 2 of the 3 sections of my yard were green September 15th., but October 23 a 2nd section is dying due to cinch bugs.It makes me believe even with knowledge we had that bug, our landlady has yet to spray. If people know we are renting and see circumstances that the owner or realtor should be taking care of, it is unacceptable to allow HOA members to enter my property and scare myself and sons. We are moving due to that crazy lady and what transpired after. It is costing us in excess of $5,000 dollars to change rentals. Your HOA needs to discipline that crazy lady for terrorizing a nice family making a sincere effort.
