I really like HBH. They are kind to my son and I, and they e been helpful in accessing services for my son. I would give it five stars except the psychiatric nurse practioners seem to come and go frequently.

Terrible service to be honest. Tried to call multiple times to confirm an appointment to no answer. Assumed the office was still closed for Covid, later got a notification that I owed them a $100 no show fee. This office is closing permanently and it's not hard to see why. HOWEVER, I highly recommend giving the Rincon office a try. It's way better and even the employees their admit that the Savannah office was the weak link.

Never answer the phones. Always something wrong with there phone system. Then when the phone is working they don't call you back. Sickening

Referred to as the only option for my insurance. Terrible. For an office specializing in mental health, you would think they would understand some people need basic accommodations. There is no transparency, no way to get a hold of your doctor outside of your visit. Hope you like playing telephone with the receptionist cause that’s the only person you’ll be able to talk to. They are nice though, but sadly short on patience if you have any kind of trouble with speaking or hearing. I have no gripe against them yet with everything that’s put solely on them. If they would have a better patient portal for HBH and some way to communicate directly to your doctor outside of appointments like all the other medical professionals I have been to have, it would help everyone. There have been so many times I’ve made a plan with my psychiatrist for an action outside of the appointment, only for nothing to be communicated where the receptionists could see it, and you o n l y get to talk to the receptionist. The staff don’t even want to try and communicate while you’re still in the building. You barely have to raise your voice to talk to the psychiatrists from the front office as long as they don’t have their door closed (psychiatrist offices are pretty soundproof with their personal door closed) but when there was a scheduling miscommunication right after my appointment when my psychiatrist had no one else with them, it didn’t even occur to them to either call from the phone or physically move to talk to the psychiatrist and clear things up instead of trying to get me and my limited knowledge of how things work on their end to properly explain and elaborate the basic instructions I was given, especially when they want to kick you out the door as fast as possible. I also have bounced around psychiatrists in the office and there is only one who actually cares about what you are feeling instead of expecting you to coldly parrot a symptoms list. I don’t know about other people but I cannot try to create such checklist of my symptoms without feeling like I’m copying from the web, which is the worst way to try and understand what you are feeling when google dramatizes the stakes and leaves symptoms to loose interpretations. I can promise from first appointment to billing to even just getting your meds to the right pharmacy (hope you never need refills cause there’s almost no point in trying), every step will be immensely more difficult than it needs to be as they refuse to make any information clear. I will be searching elsewhere for someone who actually knows what they are doing.
