As my wife and I embarked upon building our dream home in the SouthEast we were looking for a partner who listened, guided, was accountable and was trustworthy. John and Doug have been in lock step with us throughout the entire process. They embraced our vision and helped make it a reality. They didn't try to talk us out of our "unique" ideas and worked with us to make them a reality. Their onsite manager ensures that not only are the subcontractors on time and accountable, but he also keeps the project on track. He sees potential issues and adjusts as they arise, not two weeks later when it is too late and valuable time is lost. We built our home mostly from afar. They encouraged us to have status meetings and facetime meetings on a regular basis. The accounting process was clear and transparent throughout. Coastal Development has an online tool that is visible to us, their vendors, and their team so that there is no lack of communication or miscommunication. Everything is documented, all change orders are visible, and timelines are updated regularly.
