I applied for this property on 4/22/2020 and was advised that I was approved on 4/23/2020. I went to view the property and it was not move I’m ready but was told it would be by the time I was ready to move in, which was 5/15/2020. I was advised I would receive the lease from Christine in the next day or so. I received an invitation to sign the lease on 4/27/2020 at 8:59 pm. The following morning I emailed Christine and asked a few question regarding the property and was instructed to reach out to Robert, the property manager, as he can assist with my concerns. I was also advised that they would continue accepting applications on the property until lease is signed and deposit is paid. I responded and asked for confirmation that it was possible for someone to apply and lease a property that i have already been approved for, but did not get a response.I emailed him shortly after and did not get a response. I called him at 4:08pm cause I had not received a response. He advised he was busy handling some things but would email me back this afternoon, which he did. He emailed me back and addressed my questions and also stated that after lease is sent out, it is expected to be signed within 48 hours and for deposit to be paid after that. I advised that I wanted to go look at the property again and then once I do so I would sign the lease. Robert instructed me to contact him once I got to the property to make sure I could get in as I’ve went before and was not able to get in. I arrived at the property and called Robert. He provided me with the code and stayed on the line to confirm i was able to get in. I was not able to do so, so he stated he would find out if it was changed and would give me a call back. He called me back and advised that the code was changed due to the property being rented out to someone else. Someone was given the opportunity to sign the lease although I was advised I had 48 hours to do so. I wasn’t even given 24 hours to sign. I shortly received a text from Robert, that he intended to send to someone else advising that he told me they decided to go with the next person behind me because I didn’t sign the lease and at the same time he sent that message, I received an email stating my lease signing was canceled. Very unprofessional!!
