The food is a solid four stars, not gourmet, but many times better than Mexican box-restaraunt fare. The challenge is their live music is always too loud for the venue. I am not some old fart who doesn't appreciate music, in fact I have quite an eclectic taste in music and have been a musician for years. I love all sorts of live and recorded music, but the volume needs to be controlled to match the audience, the primary intent of the event/venue, and the space in which the music is presented. For Tarahumata, it is primarily a restaraunt, not a concert hall or outdoor stage, the audience is generally groups of friends, colleagues, and families out to enjoy a meal and camaraderie, and the interior of the restaraunt is mostly hard surfaces that contain and reflect sound, rather than absorb it. The music is often so loud, even when there is a single guitar player, even from the furthest table from the speakers, that we cannot have a conversation at the table and have had to leave on one occasion. Yes, the food is good enough for us to continue to return, but we check if there is live music before we ask for a table.

Ordered a fajita dinner for two; barely enough for one. Wraps were left out; poor quality control. Chips provided were at least a day old and very chewy. Cost was high and so what the disappointment. Will not return.
