Momma Goldberg's Deli

The staff at this location clearly has better things to do than actually serve the guests that come to eat. There is no reason to waste your money or patronize this location that doesn't want to serve it's customers. I organize a weekly bike night and bring sometimes crowds of 30+ people to various restaurants in the Newnan area each week. I always call and give the restaurants a heads up so as not to overwhelm them. As usual, we called a day early (On Dec 29) to let them know we would be coming with our group the next day and asked them to put some tables together and reserve them for us. I should have been clued in then as what was to come as they acted like it would be a huge inconvenience for me to actually bring in 15-20 people and to have some tables put together for us even though they are never busy when we go there. The next evening (Dec 30th @ 7pm), the group of 15 or so of us showed up on time as scheduled. There was one other couple eating in the restaurant and other than that, it was empty. After we entered the restaurant, one of the workers went meandering over to put the tables together since they hadn't put them together beforehand. There was no hello to us or just a minute, they just very grudgingly dragged tables together and acted like it was the worst thing ever they could be doing right then and there. Behind the counter was a worker making a sandwich. They never looked up or even acknowledged our presence the entire time we were there. We stood around at the counter for a few minutes as we waited for someone to actually maybe just say hello. One member in our group jokingly asked what time they opened since they didn't seem to have any desire to actually serve the 15 guests that were waiting in line, we were still completely ignored. While we were all patiently waiting watching a worker to make a single sandwich and totally ignore us, we noticed the sandwich counter was absolutely disgusting. So among not caring if customers were in line and maybe sending a smile their way or telling them hello, they also didn't care to cleanup and maintain a safe and clean food prep area. Finally after a few minutes, we all decided our money was better served elsewhere and left the restaurant. The first word was never said from either employee the entire time we were there, so it's safe to say that none of us in our group will ever patronize this establishment again. There are many more restaurants in the Newnan area that are happy to serve you with a smile, great attitude, and clean restaurant. Take your money elsewhere!

Not the real Goldberg's. Go to the good deli in the north part of town. This place doesn't do deli sandwiches right.

I work at the one in Newnan GA and it is THE BEST. So y'all need to go there and eat. Their buff nachos are delicious with the chicken salad melt on a white hoagie bun. All their sandwiches are A1. Their soups are good, and their build your own salad with 6 toppings will fill you up, I promise.
