Mama Lucia's Restaurant

It's pretty bad when someone would prefer Olive Garden across the street instead of Mama Lucia's. $9 for a half order Mediterranean salad that was basically lettuce only. Take a look at Fabiano's to see a proper Greek salad. The crab soup is way too sweet, that its downright disgusting. Taste is subjective, so someone else may like it.

Mama Lucia's is an incredibly good Italian restaurant. They cut absolutely no corners when it comes to quality. While it is not low in cost, it is not expensive either. There is an Olive Garden restaurant around the corner from Mama Lucia's, I do not understand why humans eat there when so much quality is near by. It is family owned and operated. Try to say that about the Olive Garden! I can go on all night but if you are on your way to or from Atlanta and you have time, I highly recommend Mama Lucia's in Newnan Georgia at exit 47. I feel it is worth a drive from Montgomery just to enjoy lunch or dinner there. Have a wonderful holiday season!! I am here again. It is the 10th of February 2019. I was just served a cup of their awesome cream of tomato soup and a bowl of their incredibly delicious cream of crab soup. I cannot express myself strongly enough that I highly recommend this restaurant!! Okay it is 03 May 2019and please do not ask me why but I am sitting here in Olive Garden here in Montgomery Alabama and already the service is pathetic. I will go to my incinerator never understanding why people flock to Olive Garden when Mama Lucia's is around the corner. It is 2:15 in the afternoon and this place is packed full. I will give it another 15 minutes before I get up and leave if the waiter doesn't show up again since he dropped off the water........ Long, deep sigh.. . I made a day trip to Atlanta yesterday June the 22nd. I left home about 1.5 hours later than I desired and debated in my mind if I wanted to take the time to enjoy lunch at Mama Lucia's. I am very glad I did! I enjoyed a bowl of their cream of crab soup which is absolutely delicious and an entree called Gamberitti Alla Leonardo with a side cup of their consistent extremely delicious tomato soup. I have enjoyed that entree several times and always the shrimp are cooked perfectly. They are using either 16-20 or 21-25 count shrimp. I highly recommend this restaurant located at exit #47 off I-85. It is so very much better than The Olive Garden, it hurts to see many cars in Olive Garden's parking lot...... 06 March 2020 I have enjoyed their service and food in December, January and February. It is simply delicious and satisfying. I had the opportunity to travel there today but I was not in the mood for it. I hope to never tire out for Italian food....... Pi day March 14, 2020 I enjoyed an extremely wonderful lunch at Mama Lucia's this afternoon. Like I told the owner and chef, it is truly remarkable that the shrimp are absolutely cooked perfectly every time I enjoy a dish named Gamberitti Alla Leonardo. The cream of crab and tomato soups were beyond delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant any higher than I have. 10 February 2022 I have enjoyed lunch several times since March of 2020. This is an extremely good Italian restaurant. My girlfriend ordered fettuccine Alfredo out of haste and she was extremely impressed with her food. Her father was 100% Italian. I more than highly recommend Mama Lucia's restaurant to anyone living in the southeast. By the way, it was 22 January 2022 when we enjoyed lunch there. Whenever I go to Atlanta the highlight of my trip is lunch at Mama Lucia's. 14 July 2022 I realize this review is getting lengthy. I just wanted to say I never get bored with dining here. I have a trip reserved for September and I will be eating lunch there on Saturday. I am losing faith in the Italian restaurant here in Montgomery. It is priced too high for what they serve.

Absolutely horrible. Dont know what happened to this place but really bad. Burnt bread, burnt bacon missing mozzarella in entree. No fish...used to he my favorite. Not going back
