The company I work for recently rented one of their buses for our all-company retreat. During the bus ride, the bus not only broke down on the interstate, but the driver did not pull off to the shoulder or even the side lane, in spite of it being clear there was something dreadfully wrong with the bus. The driver not only did not call the police to get the lanes blocked off, but he also did not update us on the situation at all. Instead, we were left sitting at a dead stop in the middle of 4 lanes of Atlanta interstate traffic, with cars and semis flying by us on either side. While I realize that things happen, the way the situation was handled was not only incredibly unprofessional, it was also unsafe. Absolutely recommend that you stay far away from this company.

Maintenance issues, poor customer service, and a dangerous situation -- all wrapped up into one little package. We originally had them booked over a four day event we were planning, with four trips total; our first day's bus was a little worrisome, to say the least. The bus arrived late (though this can be explained somewhat by the Atlanta airport's parking restrictions), but we were not given a phone number to our driver to let him know where to pick us up or for us to ask where to go. When we called the office, we were sent to their full voicemail box on several occasions. After finally getting on the bus, our employees were greeted with something that was rather worrisome: a light hanging by a wire. (See accompanying picture). Through the approximately hour long trip, the air conditioner vent also broke and fell off of the unit. These incidents make me seriously question how seriously they take the maintenance of their buses. We were willing to let this go and let bygones be bygones, so long as they made sure our bus for the next day was in good working order, however, so we continued soldiering on after speaking with one of their representatives. I suppose that the light and air conditioner should have been warnings. The next day, our second bus broke down; and instead of moving to the shoulder of the highway, the driver remained in the middle, as if he hadn't been trained in what to do in situations like this. This put all of our employees in danger, stuck in the middle of the highway during rush hour traffic. Instead of calling police, as would be standard protocol in a situation like this, our driver called the bus company first, before moving out of the bus and into traffic. When this situation happened, and our employees were put into danger like this, we did not feel safe continuing with them, and found another company to handle our transportation needs. Hopefully, we will receive a refund for our experience - we're currently in the process of getting it, and I will update this review once that has been accomplished. I can't say I would recommend Signature 1 to anyone. Between the maintenance issues and the safety issues, we would HIGHLY recommend that you choose a different company. Update: We did receive our promised refund, but only after messaging them to confirm that we were going to receive it after about 2 weeks had elapsed. We were at least returned what we were owed, but our safety concerns still stand.

We hired this company for a company all-hands meeting. The communication at the airport was non-existent. Then, once we finally located the driver and boarded the bus, I was horrified. The condition of the bus left much to be desired. There was literally an LED panel light hanging by it's wires from the ceiling. The bus itself was dirty, and as we were driving, a panel for the air conditioner up front fell off when we went over a bump. We did not feel safe at all. We brought our concerns to the driver as we unloaded, and he said, "what do you mean the condition of the bus is bad?" When we explained what we meant, and indicated we needed a bus in better condition for the next pick up the following day, he indicated he would pass the message on. The bus that picked the rest of our team up the next day was in no better condition. In fact, it broke down in the MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY on the way to our retreat, and the bus driver didn't even call the highway patrol or the police. We had to do that. Over half of our company was stood on the side of the road for more than an hour while a new bus was sent out. When we called the bus company to find out what they were doing to help our people (the employees that arranged the transportation had been on the first day's travels), the owner was extremely rude, unhelpful, and actually hung up on our director of People Operations. I would never use this company again. I would never recommend this company to ANYONE. It is not safe.
