Horrible experience. Gabby did everything I specifically told her NOT to do. Cut off 10 inches, yes 10 (came in for a trim), blunt cut when I specifically said I wanted layers. And the front desk girls were so rude when I asked about my gift card balance. They couldn't show any specific transactions that were made on my gift card vs CC. I do not recommend this establishment.

After going through chemotherapy and losing my hair, my naturally straight hair grew back curly. I liked having the curls, but after two years, my hair started growing straight again. After researching online, I found that one could do a body wave perm and have nice loose curls (unlike the perms of the 80s). I made an appointment and met with the stylist. After explaining my whole story, showing inspo pictures and telling her that my hair has been highlighted, she said that she could perform the service and have it look like the pictures. An two hours later, I wanted to cry. My hair looked awful. I left and went home and cried. I washed my hair many times hoping it would relax the curl since I know that washing before 48 hours have passed can make the perm less curly (yes, I watched Legally Blonde). Well, needless to say, it didn't look good. I went to Ulta the next day and spent a lot of money on straightening products - shampoo, conditioner, etc - nothing chemically based. I called and spoke to the manager, who tried to be helpful, but you can't fix this because your hair can't handle anymore. She gave me credit at the salon, but I won't be going back there. I could buy products, but I have products that I already like. After a few weeks, I have noticed that the bottom 2 inches of my hair are so damaged that they breaking off. After spending two years growing my hair out, I am so upset that I am going to have to get so much cut off in order to keep my hair healthy. This was a horrible experience, and I will never go back. I asked her professional opinion from the very beginning of our consultation. I just wish that the stylist had been honest up front and said that what I wanted was not a good idea. Edit - Follow Up Response to Owner Your response is not incorrect, but let's clarify a few things. 1. I told the stylist that I was glad that she didn't make it curl too much. However, I was unable to truly judge the outcome, because she did not know how to style curly hair (curly girl method). When she tried to dry it, the curls were all separated and frizzy.I even tried to explain how to do it, and she responded that this was how she dried all curly hair. I went home and tried to wet and style myself, but it didn't work. 2. Your manager did try to be helpful. Unfortunately, between the stylist being off one day and the manager the next, it was 2-3 days before I could even get a follow up with the manager and I had to initiate that. That is why I bought products to try to release some of the perm. None of them were chemical treatments - Paul Mitchell shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. 3. The products left for me at the counter were samples so of course I was not charged. My only complaint is that when I told the stylist that I wanted her professional opinion (because she is the professional, not me), she should have told me that it was not a good service for my hair. The end result was not as promised. Service: Perms
