When I first went to a service at this church in January of 2017, I was a total stranger and not even Baptist. However, I was welcomed by all the members. The congregation is smaller than any service or mass I've ever attended, but the love, peace, joyousness, acceptance and kindness I felt was greater than the largest church. The Pastor, Glenn, is phenomenal. His sermons are so relatable to one's everyday experiences of both our individual struggles and of our triumphs. I truly feel that the "atmosphere" and attitudes of each of the members is to treat everyone exactly the way you'd like to be treated. There are no "cliques" nor gossiping amongst the members, and no one is judgemental of others both inside and outside of the church. Everyone, including the Pastor, wears jeans or comfortable clothes, and comfortable in so many different ways is exactly how I feel about this church. Unlike several churches I've attended, there is no pressure to donate money. Although it is appreciated when or if you're able to do so. There is a nursery for infants and "Sunday School" for younger children to go to during services. They have a wonderful AWANA'S children's group for ages pre-K and up on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm. AWANA'S "dues" are 50¢ if you're financially able. I just cannot say enough wonderful things about this church and especially about the Pastor, Glenn. Even though Glenn has a regular workweek job, I feel if a member or a non-member called it e-mailed needing his help, he would come to your home without question. If you're looking for a church where you can "totally be yourself" and enjoy having the scripture explained in such a way that it is relatable to your and/or your family's everyday live, then I suggest you attend a service one Sunday at 10:45 like I did...I'm sure you'll feel the same acceptance and warmth that I felt the first time I walked in the front doors...and it grows even stronger with every service I attend. This really is a congregation that lives by the Golden Rule EVERYDAY and that is so refreshing!
