Even though I'm no longer employed here I was shown on 12/20/21 that everyone here is still my family. My brother had a motorcycle accident and was a trauma activation. Within 5 minutes of the accident AMR supervisor and the responding crew both called my personal number to update me on my brother. They treated him like family the whole ride to Columbus.

The drivers are fine but the people in the billing department are terrible, they wouldn’t bill out my insurance correctly, I had to tell them 4 different times what my insurance was and they never got it right and turned me over to collections.

I had a TIA event November 18. I am a truck driver. Ambulance had trouble locating me. Because Dispatch did not give them my truck #. So, I had to go find them. I thought I was having a stroke because I couldn't read. They examined me, then the woman attendant suggested that a sinus infection could cause my symptoms! Of course I was relieved, since I THOUGHT I was having a stroke!! BTW you are not your most RATIONAL when your brain is freaking out! So, I spent the next several hours in my truck trying to get a cab that could take me to the Doctor! Finally, I called my son in Gainesville, and he knew instantly there was something wrong, and came two hours to take me to the Wellstar in LaGrange, where I spent four days. Though I am thrilled I am alright, the ambulance attendant came by to tell me I SHOULD have gone with them! In an obvious CYA!! I received a bill of $100. for my "care" dragged my feet on the payment. Because I feel I did NOT get $100 of service. Glad I didn't die trying to get help!

Mother fell out, low BP, not knowing at the time, while holding her due to the precarious position her head fell forward, chin to sternum. I thought she was dead, her breathing so shallow. We called 911, or fire dept showed up within 7 minutes, about 20 minutes AMR arrives, mother had been placed on the floor on her back by the Fire department medical team and she was coherent. We decided not to take her to the ER, due to having a doctor's appointment within the hour, if needed we would go to ER afterwards. AMR said there's no charge if they don't transport. Everyone departed. Mother had to change clothes, soiling herself when she passed out. While helping her get dressed, she said "I don't fell good, " she passed out again, we called 911 and everyone reappeared once again, AMR techs said they were in route back to LaGrange and remembered our address turned around and arrive in about 10 minutes. We then decided to let them take her to the ER. These guys were very professional and kindhearted. Even though emergency services seems expensive, not having a loved one is much worse, plus Medicare and insurances should pay for these costs. Heaven knows our premiums are costly enough.
