The company is very tribal. There is a lack of communications between departments. We constantly ran out of needed parts due to a lack of both knowledge and vision in the purchasing department. I worked in the warehouse for over a year as a temp. There are no written procedures or policies on the operation of the department. I was given the impression that I would receive full time status. It never materialized. The department was often overlooked in the area of technical advances (etc. Inventory software). Technology often stopped at the warehouse door. I requested a safer ladder once after stumbling when exiting the ladder and was told the "the budget didn't include safety equipment". I was released one week before Christmas. It's not a good place to work if you have cultural differences.
