North Atlanta Dermatology - Duluth

I had my first dermatology appointment ever, and unfortunately, I had it at North Atlanta Dermatology in Duluth. The nurse was surprisingly unprofessional, and not helpful at all. Even the doctor acted as if she didn't have the time of day for me. She literally barged in and started rambling out my diagnosis in one breath without having looked at me or asked me any questions. Horrible service.

Doc is great. Front of the house - Awful. Try and call to cancel an appointment. no one answers your call. I have tried for 2 days and I have never had a person answer the phone. They say they will call you back within 30 min and they don't. I finally had someone call me back and she told me they are short staffed and she is supporting 5 locations by herself. They are charging me $50 for what they say is a missed appointment. This is for the Duluth location. I spoke to the office manager and she was brash and rude. I explained that I called and she said that she looked at the call log and didn't see my number. I called from my office phone and not my cell phone. Yet, they will tell you they are updating and merging systems. I have never been late or missed an appointment. I told the office manager that if I am being charged, I will find a new Doc. she said that is fine. I really liked my Doc, but I will not be treated like I am irresponsible. You win, you got my $50, but lost me in the process. Edit 3-3-23 To drive my point home on the poor customer service. See their response below. No one has followed up with me and nor did I think they would. You've been warned. Since this situation, I've spoken to two other people that have left because of the front desk.

I love this practice. Sarah Barr is an awesome practitioner. Everyone I have seen in the last 10 years have always been very professional and they spend the time necessary with out making me feel rushed during my appointments.

I had an appointment for 4:15 PM on 02/21/23 with Dr. Douchy for a Lipoma Removal. As they requested I arrived 15 minutes yearly. I signed at the front desk and sat down waiting to be called. After 45 minutes I went to the front desk to find out if Dr. Douchy was running late. The front desk lady could not find my appointment on the list where I signed, she completely forgot about me and after looking for the list she finally took my insurance card and I signed the Covid release form and waited another 10 minutes before going back for my procedure. I was extremely upset that I wasted all this time and now in the end of their shift I was finally being seen by the nurse and the doctor. Both of them were informed of the front desk "slip up" and they took care of me in a very professional manner. Dr. Douchy is a very caring doctor and spite of being almost end of the day, he took his time removing my Lipoma. The nurse was kind and patient with me. When I left the office the lights were deemed and everyone else was gone. I could not even check out. What a terrible unprofessional experience. The front desk ladies didn't even apologize for her mistake.
