Definitely need to get better more permanent staff! Called today and spoke to Barbara, who stated she was a temp! She could not help me and does not have access to the portal. After I asked her to not interrupt me, she hung up in my face! Rude and a constant revolving door with staff!

The short of it: I would not recommend anyone lease an apartment in this complex. The leasing office will fail to meet any reasonable expectations on a regular basis. They’ll also happily lie to you, by making promises of improvements that they fail to meet, and then proceed to ignore you. In my original review, I stated that Bridgewater was simply trying to collect rent by positioning themselves as a property management company, while not actually doing any property management. I stand by that. I explain more below. I originally left a review that was very critical of Bridgewater. Then, on July 28, 2021, Darrius Fuller reached out to me to explain that he was the new lease manager and would be addressing the concerns in that review. I took this in good faith and updated the review to be less critical. However, since I updated that review, I have experienced a return to the previous situation, where I am unable to establish meaningful contact with the leasing office to work towards resolution of those issues. Since that first phone call, I have attempted to call Darrius 3 times, leaving a message each time. I have attempted to email him twice. I have received no meaningful responses to my emails and my phone calls have not been returned. I originally left a review that was very critical of Bridgewater. I have received no meaningful responses, nor have I had my calls returned. Here are some previews of what to expect living here: • The apartment’s air conditioning does not function in normal GA temperatures, like 85°. When it gets up to 90°, it is very common for my apartment to be 77° inside within a couple of hours. This has also resulted in electric bills of over $200/mo for a 1,500 sq ft apartment. I haven’t even received electric bills that large in freestanding houses. Maintenance eventually showed up to fix this. It turned out that it was primarily caused by them not replacing the HVAC filter for two years, which they blamed on me. The filter is behind a deadbolted door that I do not possess the key to and I was never informed that it was my responsibility to replace it. I am still out over $300 because of their failure. • I had a neighbor who regularly grilled on their patio. Bridgewater did not do anything to prevent people from grilling on their patio until an entire building burned down because of it. Fortunately, no lives were lost, but possessions were destroyed and people were displaced. • I have neighbors who are extremely loud from at absurd times, like midnight to 4am, preventing me from sleeping. Before I lived at Bridgewater, I had never needed to submit a noise complaint in my life. While here, I’ve submitted a total of 7 noise complaints. Each time, Bridgewater says they’ll do something about it. However, the exact same neighbors continue to be a problem after over 6 months. It is apparent that Bridgewater do not intend to do anything about it. • My apartment permanently smells like pot because of a neighbor who smokes inside. Bridgewater states they have a policy prohibiting smoking in or near the buildings. However, they don’t enforce that policy, making it meaningless. The odor is sometimes so strong that it causes me to become physically ill. It also causes my belongings to take on the same odor, which isn’t a great look.
