The Dillard House Restaurant

The food is still great but the facility has gotten a little run down. Also the menu never changes like it used to. They havent had country ham the last few times we have been. Prices have gone up a lot and I guess that is natural. The value is being able to take leftovers home. Fried okra is still consistently the best Ive had.

The food was amazing!! However, I wish we could have taken the food that we couldn't finish home. I hate that it was going to waste, especially since it was so delicious. The animals here were soo friendly, they came right up to us and allowed us to pet them! They were so sweet!! I will be definitely coming back.

I was expecting better than Ryan's steakhouse for the price. Food was just ok, service was attentive and helpful. Wheelchair accessibility: Pleanty of handicap parking.

This is out of my norm for me to make a review. That being said I felt it to be necessary as the Dillard House advertises Home Country Cooking! I am 57 yo and was born and raised in Georgia eating Country Cooking. The Dillard House needs to reeducate themselves on the meaning of Home Country Cooking. The only items that were in the realm of Home Country Cooking was the chicken, biscuits, black eyed peas and potatoes. Everything else was so sweet it ruined your appetite making the few items that were good not so good. The collards were so sweet you couldnt taste the collards. Very disappointed. Ingles deli does a better job of Country Cooking and thats sad. All the Awards in the world dont mean a thing if you have lost the culture youre trying to embrace.
