Piedmont Rockdale Hospital: Emergency Room

Man this is tough for me to write considering my Dad passed away at the hospital Saturday morning, but I have to get this out. The ER nurses, doctor, and staff were great. Wish they could have started the pain meds sooner but they were working hard to find the reason. The ICU folks and especially our PA Jonathan were rock stars in my eyes. Doing everything the could to help my Dad and very compassionate with such horrible news to deliver. Thank you all so much for your hard work!

My experience with this hospital was a nightmare I could not wake from. From the moment I entered the emergency vehicle, I was laughed at and made fun of me and the state I was in. I was never met with any compassion. The two black male nurses screamed at me and laughed at me when I was asking for water. They started to taunt me and tell me You aint never going to get any water. They told me would you shut up and let us do our job. They said you can not have water and youre never going to get it. Youre never going to get any water. They constantly left the door wide open so everyone could see me not dressed, and not well state. Everyone laughed at me and made me feel terrible. They told my parents lies about me to protect themselves and how they treated me. The treatment was abusive. They were two black male incompetent nurses who could not care for me properly therefore caused me to be in more pain. They had to poke my arms over and over again because they could not draw blood. How do they have jobs? Do you have education? Degrees? None of them knew what they were doing. They did not treat me like I am a human. I am traumatized. This place should be shut down and investigated. Please do not ever go to this hospital.

It makes no sense to be at the hospital emergency room just sitting it's ridiculous my blood pressure was extremely high I had to wait in the lobby for hours. It's the emergency room people get it together. People are sick not on vacation besides who wants to sit up in a waiting room sick

To begin with I was in a very serious hit and run on expressway last week where my passenger and I were told no ambulances or police would be available for a minimum of 45 minutes. We may want to call someone So I did. I have very serious injuries and I was told to come back to remove stitches. I just had the worst phone experience trying to find info for procedure and time, appointments, etc. I was spoken to so rudely on the phone and still have no idea what I'm supposed to do.

8h wait at the ER to see a doctor to still have 12 people in front of me, which meant at the very least 5 more hours waiting. I went in with double vision, dizziness when getting up and considering I am pregnant I thought I would receive good care. I was mistaken. 8 hours and I didn't even see a doctor or heard of a plan of care for me. I decided to leave after waiting for the 8h and never hearing anything back from my blood and urine tests.This is a total disrespect towards the patient. Never again.
