I attempted to hire Attorney Amy Walters. Set up the consultation & paid the $150 consultation fee. I spoke with Ms. Walters about 20 minutes & explained the situation. She said she would look into some things and we would finish our conversation the following Friday. That was in November. The following Friday I never received a call. I waited patiently & 2 weeks later I began reaching out. Called office, sent emails, and had a 3rd party attempt to reach her. The 3rd party was able to speak with her and the message was relayed that "she didn't forget about me, and was working in it." I was patient and understanding that covid has slowed down the court system. Here we are 3 months later, and to this day never spoke with Ms. Walters again. I received an email from her secretary telling me she was not accepting new clients at the moment. So, basically this attorney took my money, then lead me to believe that she would represent me. Three months, I waited patiently prepared to pay her retainer after being told if I decided to move forward the original 150 would be applied to retainer.(never finished consultation because she needed to check some things out before quoting me The total price for divorce and custody arrangements) this is 3 months of being strung along that I could have obtained another lawyer and have had the ball rolling. As far as the other lawyers partnered in this firm, such as Stacy Jackson, he is one of the BEST. But Ms. Walters handled this situation poorly. Took my money and wasted my time. She didn't even have the common courtesy to update me and respond to emails or return calls. Such a disappointment that business was conducted in such a manner.
So I am out $150 and not even a step closer on figuring out my best course of action. It's a shame I paid this attorney money for absolutely nothing.

Richard Hagler made everything so easy and simple, he was very understanding to my current circumstances. Also his assistant Kristin was always fast on responding with any questions I had. I would highly recommend this team.
