Trails at Flat Rock

I stayed here for about three years the initial male manager was awesome after he left apartment went downhill. This was my first apartment at 18 the rent stayed the same or only subtly increased any real issues got resolved after new management my rent was bumped up every year starting at 830 and getting up to 1000 by the time i left with the same old appliances that never got replaced EVERYTHING was outdated. The washer and dryer never worked and i complained about it for at least a full year still never was fixed completely or replaced so I had so many clothes pilling up it was easier to just buy more. There was initially a roach infestation here after pest control came it was resolved. So many cats everywhere they literally had taken the apartment over. No parking spots ever it was such a hassle having to carry arm fulls of groceries across the parking lot because there aren't any parks in front of my building so many robberies and car break ins especially around the holidays. Kids running around and terrorizing residents and vandalizing cars. I was overcharged for rent for about two months and brought it to the attention of the office manager who acted like she couldnt fix it until i had to email some one above her who had it fixed in one day. Office staff was just a complete joke honestly. Rarely anyone in there who actually cares about residents. Just money hungry and will say anything for you to just get out of their face. Another thing pool was broken often gym is just pitiful half of the machines didn't work for the entirety of our stay honestly. The AC went out in the middle of summer and we had to live with it for a week it was hell. Trash in the dumpster overfilled often and all you could see where piles outside on the ground I could go on and on. I don't even think i got my deposit back. If youre having any issues i recommend you to record conversations and keep paper copies of everything because they will try to up a price or straight up lie when thy can. Honestly just live literally anywhere else but here. So glad to have moved out. Not worth the price at all.

My husband and I have been residents at Flat Rock for almost 3 years, and I have dealt with nasty and rude management. Ms. Renee is great and I can go to her about any issues I have out there. Jessica and Tiffany (the old assistant manager) are extremely rude and nasty. Jessica decided she wanted to be nasty to me because I wanted Rene to do my walk-through so my family and I could move out officially. I will blacklist this apartment complex since they cant treat the military families or any family that stay out with respect. I will be contacting JAG about getting them blacklisted. The rent is high and not one set price every month. The residents kids are always knocking on everyones doors and windows. Its a lot of car break-ins and management at only sending the same email and not trying to enforce anything but a gate when that complex needs more street lights. The front desk representative is lazy and talks about other residents to management. Im sorry but their cons outweigh their pros
