My son was killed in an automobile accident on June 13, 2023 around 8:30 p.m. in Murray County. I wasn't notified until approximately 11:00 p.m. I was told to contact the Coroner by telephone as he (Jason Gibson) had already went home. When I called him asking to see my son's body, he refused. He told me that "I could see him later at the funeral home". WHO says this to a grieving mother that wants to see her dead child's body? He didn't want to come out according to him because "he had to work the next morning". Why was it necessary for him to "come back out"? Because the hospital doesn't have a morgue so he padlocked my son's body in a storage shed across the street from the hospital like a bag of discarded trash. (That's a separate complaint). I had to become "irate" with him before he finally came back out. I am furious at how he disrespected me and my son's remains. He was unsympathetic, showed no compassion and has no business holding that position in this county. Shame on you Mr. Gibson!
