Oceanside Inn Suite

I love the Oceanside Inn. We have been staying there since it was the Wanderer 30 years ago. We have stayed at other hotels on Jekyll including the campground but we love the Oceanside location. Yes it is showing its age and is shabby but its still nice. If you don't like it, go to the new hotels. In a few years they will start to age because of harsh treatment from guest who abuse a hotel and treat it as they would never treat their home.

Thank god this DUMP is closed FOREVER!!!!! It sucks so bad You call this a vacation. This hotel is CRACK HOUSE. its smells so bad i would rather sleep on the beach than on the bed. By the way Jekyll Island stinks there are no waves and the water looks like someone took a huge pile of POOP. This place is REDNECK ISLAND and IT WILL FOREVER STAY THE SAME.

The pictures on the internet is VERY deceiving. This place we booked online with the hope of a nice clean place to stay for a weekend getaway. The staff was nice but check in took forever. We arrived and the room was not ready!!! They said they would call us when the room became available. We waited 2 hours with NO phone call, I went back to see if they were ready and she said yes (BUT NO PHONE CALL TO LET US KNOW THIS).... This was the nastiest, most ran down hotel I have ever since. It looks like one of the hotels that you would see in an ran down part of town. I really did not expect it to be this dirty. We had already bought the Splash Package to take our daughter to the water park and no other hotel was available in the area and they would not give a refund. Therefore we stayed the weekend. I hurt like I had been in a fight after sleeping on the bed. I had to wear my shoes to take a shower and around the room. There are no plugs in bathroom to blow dry hair. I felt like I was in a small dungeon with painted block walls. I will never go back. You couldn't pay me enough money to take my family back on vacation there. I thought we had went to Red Neck Island. People had towels laying out over walkways & trash on ground. Oh and the restaurant was not good either. No flavor to food. Just a horrible experience. I WILL NOT GO BACK. and I will tell everyone how NASTY this place is.
