made 2 ( hubby and myself) appointments with him, went today. had to call, door was locked. seems he "retired" without telling anyone....woman who answered phone said they tried calling....that's a lie, no one tried calling me to cancel...

WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT 3 WEEKS AGO. THEY CALLED YESTERDAY TO REMIND US OF OUR APPT. FINE WE ARE READY. GET A CALL 5 MINUTES LATER SAYING THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEW CUST. WE WERE THERE LIKE 10 YEARS AGO. VERY UNPROFFESIONAL. THE 2ND CALL LADY WAS QUIT NASTY. WONT EVER TRY THEM AGAIN. THEY ARE RATED ZERO IN MY BOOK.

I was already having 2nd thoughts about coming here because of the low reviews, but Im happy I didnt come. I called to ask about ordering glasses and the receptionist was extremely rude. Do not recommend! I would give zero stars if I could.

I recently just relocated back to the US from Costa Rica. Dr Blackstock was recommended to me by a good friend and patient. Based on this recommendation I made an appointment with Dr. Blackstock last week for today. When I called to confirm my appointment in the morning I was left on hold for four minutes. Then I was told, sorry sir, but Dr Blackstock has decided that he cannot receive any new patients at this time. Please check back with us in August. Well, that would have been fine if they would have contacted me sometime in the last seven days to let me know I was not going to have an appointment. Now I have waited a week for a much needed eye exam. This is very unprofessional. I will be sure to tell people what I think of Dr. Blackstock and his lack of regard for patients. In the regular world, the disregard for someone else's time is disrespectful. I wonder if he suffers the same disrespect when he travels? I would be embarrassed to call myself a professional if I were him.
